22CHAMPS is a free, independent fan game. This page explains what the site collects, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: there are no accounts, no ads and no cookies, and we never sell anything about you.
Who we are
22CHAMPS (“we”, “us”) runs 22champs.com. For any question or request about your data, email hello@22champs.com.
What we collect
Anonymous usage stats
We use PostHog and Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which parts of the game get played. They record the pages you visit, the site that sent you, your browser, operating system and type of device, and game events: starting a draft, finishing a season or a daily challenge (and whether you won), sharing a result, and creating, joining or finishing a draft room. Vercel also records your approximate location, such as your country. Vercel Speed Insights measures how quickly pages load for you.
None of these use cookies or store anything on your device. To count unique visitors, each one turns your IP address and browser into a one-way code that changes every day, so your visits can't be linked from one day to the next. Your IP address itself isn't kept.
Draft rooms
When you create or join a draft room, we store what you enter and do there: your team name and crest, your picks, and any chat messages. Everyone in the room can see them, and anyone can join a public room. We also store a private seat key so your browser can get back into your seat. Rooms are deleted automatically two days after their last activity. A finished draft's results stay up for 30 days.
Preventing abuse
To stop scripts from flooding rooms, we count how often each visitor creates or joins rooms, using a one-way code made from your IP address. The counts are deleted after a day.
Server logs
Our host, Vercel, keeps standard request logs, which include IP addresses, for a short time to run and protect the site.
Saved in your browser
The game saves some things in your browser's local storage so they're still there next time: your daily challenge progress and streak, your current solo draft, your team name and seats for draft rooms, and settings like sound. This stays on your device and isn't used for analytics. Clearing your browser's data for 22champs.com removes it.
What we don't do
- No accounts or sign-ups. We never ask for your name, email or other contact details.
- No ads, and no tracking across other sites.
- No cookies.
- We don't sell personal data or share it for advertising.
Services we use
These companies process data for us, only to provide their service, on servers in the United States:
- Vercel: hosting, Web Analytics and Speed Insights
- Supabase: the database behind draft rooms
- PostHog: usage stats
Children
22CHAMPS isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. The only places you can type anything are a room's team name and chat, so please don't share personal details there. If you think a child under 13 has given us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
Your choices and rights
Most of what we hold can't be tied to you, because there are no accounts. You can still ask what we hold, or ask us to delete something (a room's chat, for example), by emailing hello@22champs.com. If it's about a room, include its code.
Depending on where you live, including the EU, the UK, California and New Jersey, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to object to how it's used. Email us and we'll respond within the time the law requires. You can also block analytics with your browser's privacy settings or an extension; the game works the same either way.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. See also our Terms of Use.
